It was a great privilege to host a workshop and a talk at Eden Festival in June 2026. Eden Festival is an independent, family-friendly, 4-day festival celebrating music, arts and culture. The team were part of Eden Explores – talks and stories about science, society and ideas.
The workshop was called Light Lab: How much do you really know about UV light? This was a drop in family science workshop where we had hands-on activities with UV light to give people an insight on how we are using UV light within our project.
‘Fantastic Light and Incredible Industries’ was a talk and Q&A session with Robert Thomson. A story of state-of-the-art light-based tech, from cameras sensitive to a single photon of light to new laser surgery techniques and fibres sensors that detect lung disease.
Both activities were a huge success and another great team building time.
